Crystal Cave offers your scouts the most unique and exciting adventure yet!  Whether your troop is interested in earning badges or just experiencing the wonders of Crystal Cave, we have a program that will fit the need.  And if camping is part of your cave experience, we have just the place for scouts to practice those outdoor skills in our primitive Scout Camp.  All programs require advance reservations and a deposit.

The staff at Crystal Cave has designed specialized workshops to specifically fulfill requirements for certain Boy and Girl Scout badges.  These programs feature hands-on workshops led by our trained staff.   Badge programs also include the one-hour tour of Crystal Cave which takes you through a maze of well-lighted, graveled passages.   The scout program is available every day from April 1 through October 31.  For program details and cost, call 800-236-2283 or email jeannie@acoolcave.com .



Two new programs for Tigers, Wolves, and Bears are now available.  These 5 1/4 hour programs include two workshops and a one-hour interpretive tour of Crystal Cave, allowing boys to complete their Geology Belt Loop/Pin.

A guided tour of Wisconsin’s longest cave can be the highlight of your scouting adventure this year.  Participants will spend an hour traveling through a maze of passages decorated with stalactites, stalagmites and glittering flowstone.  Our knowledgeable staff will explain the history of the cave, geology, and even help dispel those nasty myths about bats!

Add to the experience by including gempanning for the scouts.  Participants receive a bag of ore mix which contains real gemstones including emeralds, quartz crystals, pyrite, garnet, amethyst, and more!  Included is a bag to carry the stones and a mineral identification card.  The cost is just $4.00 per participant, added to the discounted rate for the cave tour.  (Reservations required, minimum 15 bags purchased)






Pan for real gemstones!  Pre-purchase bags of gem mix for your scouts and they’ll be able to discover real gemstones to add to their rock collections.  Each participant will receive an identification card with the bag of mix. 



Crystal Cave will  serve each of your group members  a hot dog lunch including one hot dog, bag of chips, and choice of soft drink during your lunch break.  We even provide the plates & napkins!  $4.00 per person.



Crystal Cave offers scouts an onsite overnight campground. The campground is primitive but ideal for tent, camper or car camping.  Restrooms and water are available.  The charge is $1.00 per person per night.
